So driving back from lunch to face an afternoon of boredom, I started thinking about weapons. As a healadin, it's mace or go home. My hunter pretty frequently switches between cross bow, long bow, and gun. I realized there was a weapon missing in Blizz's arsonal: the whip. Even NWN had whips after the first update thing. Man, would I have too much fun Indiana Jones'ing around Outlands, the sounds of leather snapping through the air. And being a LW, that would give some some cool crafting options.

I envision it something like a semi-ranged weapon, like how the SP are limited to 30yds. You would do a sort of fly fishing manuver over your head during the time between attacks. The whip itself would shine with magical light, leaving a trail in the air similar to a sparkler on the 4th of July. Geeze, I'd be the first in line to get one. :)

I also think there need to be some improvements on the maces. Most look like a stick with a ball on the end. Now granted, the stick might be shiny and the ball could look like a can opener, but it's still the same basic shape. What I want to see are some morningstars walking around. Give me a stick, ball, AND chain like Sauron in LotR's movies. I want to plunk something into my enemy's chest that they're going to remember. Just because I'm a healer, it doesn't mean I can't be a badass.
